He explained with examples that technologies of large enterprises can help small and micro ones test and verify their ideas, and that most entrepreneurs can make certain achievements. Mr. Wilfried Buiron emphasized in his speech that entrepreneurs need more professional assistance to start a business and are necessary to attach greater importance to teamwork, and international entrepreneurs in Hangzhou, in particular, need to learn Chinese and find a Chinese partner.

During the event, a round-table workshop was also held for international entrepreneurs in Hangzhou and venture capital companies. Heated discussions were carried out among seven representatives including three international entrepreneurs – Rondez Lucas, Lauri Tammi, and Erik Forsberg – and four representatives of local investment companies, entrepreneurial parks and incubators: Zheng Sida, Head of 500 Startups Hangzhou; Shen Chuanli, Head of the Innovation Lab of Vanke Industry and Urban Development Co., Ltd.; Zhu Bo, Community Manager at WeWork; and Sun Bin, Project Manager of SAP Next-Gen China. They all agreed that Hangzhou enjoys a favorable entrepreneurial system and environment, Hangzhou government provides great policy support to entrepreneurs, and furthermore, the city's profound history and culture add to itself extraordinary inclusiveness. They said that Hangzhou enables international entrepreneurs to find mutual support so that they can communicate with each other, make progress jointly and have enough confidence to face entrepreneurship challenges.

In recent years, Hangzhou has attracted much attention at home and abroad as a city of innovation and entrepreneurship. It has taken such measures as innovating more competitive mechanisms for introducing international talents, creating dynamic platforms to pool international talents, and optimizing and ensuring efficient and convenient international talent services, to attract global talents to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship in Hangzhou.
