A Blossoming Silk Road: the International Cooperation Forum of the 9th All Blossom Conference held

The International Cooperation Forum of the 9th All Blossom Conference was recently held at Hangzhou International Expo Center. Under the theme "A Blossoming Silk Road," the forum was co-hosted by the China Association for the Promotion of Investment, the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, and the UCLG ASPAC Committee on the Belt and Road Local Cooperation (BRLC). Over 100 distinguished attendees included diplomats from the embassies and consulates of the countries involved in Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), representatives of their local government officials and institutions, as well as representatives of Chinese unicorn companies and investment firms.

At the opening ceremony, Miao Chengchao, Vice President of the BRLC, shared his thoughts. He pointed out that the Grain Rain solar term symbolizes nourishment and growth, mirroring how Zhejiang's innovative enterprises flourish by utilizing global resources, knowledge, and strength through international partnerships. This embodies the essence of the Belt and Road Initiative—promoting cross-border cooperation, cultural exchange, and mutual prosperity. He expressed his hope that the forum would cultivate collaboration and innovation, as fuelled by the Chinese solar term's vitality.

Cheah Hun Wah, founder of Oppstar, Malaysia's first publicly listed semiconductor design company, gave a keynote speech.

The forum featured opening remarks, keynote addresses, and a roundtable discussion. Notable attendees such as Atul Dalakoti, Executive Director of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Wu Xu, Partner at JML UAE LLC Management; and Janos Müller, Executive Deputy Director of the Belt and Road Financial Cooperation Committee and founding expert of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association participated in in-depth dialogues about global technological innovation, transformation of industrial ecosystems, and investment opportunities. In the roundtable session, industry specialists discussed new modes and opportunities of international collaboration in the context of transformation of industrial ecosystems and investment opportunities propelled by global synergic technological innovation.

The forum served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration, enhancing international exchanges through discussions. It showcased the sustained progress of the Belt and Road Initiative at the local level while emphasizing Hangzhou's distinct role as a national hub for digital economy and technological innovation. Looking ahead, the BRLC will keep utilizing Hangzhou's advantages, engaging with the global community, and fostering more collaboration between local businesses and the other countries and regions involved in BRI.
