Lv Xinhua, China's former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Honorary Chairman of the Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation (CPSSC), visited Hangzhou with other senior officials on March 9. Tong Guili, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the CPC Xiaoshan District Committee, received the delegation. Ms. Tong introduced to Mr. Lv the economic and social development of Xiaoshan District in recent years and expressed her hope that enterprises in Xiaoshan could further engage in global businesses with the help of the CPSSC platform.
Mr. Lv and other senior officials visited the Planning Exhibition Hall of Xiaoshan Innovation Polis and Qianwan Wisdom Valley of Transfar Science and Technology City, accompanied by Zhou Shu, Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government and Dong Zude, Senior Inspector of Foreign Affairs Office of Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government and President of CPSSC Yangtze River Delta Branch.
The Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation (CPSSC), established on August 8, 2014 with the approval of the Chinese government, is a nationwide non-profit social organization with an independent legal status. CPSSC is registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs and its operation supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is committed to connecting Chinese enterprises and their international partners for south-south cooperation and to providing information services as a think tank to bring about win-win benefits.
