Hangzhou City was invited to the 2nd General Assembly of 21st-Century Maritime Cooperation Committee

Co-hosted by 21st-Century Maritime Cooperation Committee, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), and Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, the 2nd General Assembly of 21st-Century Maritime Cooperation Committee and Forum on Smart Ocean was held successfully on May 17-18, 2022, in Fuzhou, the capital city of southeast China's Fujian Province. Delegates, organizations and groups from 22 countries and 3 international organization participated in this event and related activities. Hangzhou was invited to attend.

In 2017, with the support of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the Belt and Road Local Cooperation (BRLC) and 21st Century Maritime Cooperation Committee were initiated and founded in Hangzhou and Fuzhou repectively.

Since their establishment, 21st-Century Maritime Cooperation Committee and BRLC have maintained close contact and communication, supported each other, and aimed to build a platform to promote cooperation. They have been committed to follow up the Belt and Road cooperation initiative under the framework of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and United Cities and Local Governments Asia Pacific (UCLG ASPAC), and actively carried out the International exchange activities. With all the efforts, the Committee has become an important and open platform for countries and regions to enhance mutilateral relations and cooperations.
