On June 24, "Global Youth Meetup @ Hangzhou" was held in Hangzhou Global Youth Talent Community. This event was hosted by Hangzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Hangzhou Global Youth Talent Community. Mr. Daniel del Valle Blanco communicated with the youth of Hangzhou about Youth & Sustainable Development.
Mr. Daniel del Valle Blanco serves as the Ambassador and Permanent Observer of the International Youth Organization (OIJ) to the United Nations, and the President of the UN Habitat Youth Advisory Board. Prior to this appointment, he served as Political and Youth Affairs Attaché at the Permanent Observer Mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations. In addition, he is also the High Representative for Youth of the International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF).
He believes that young people who want to become excellent leaders would need to have big dreams and bravely chase the dreams. "You need to dream high, to be able to dream, and of course, to sacrifice. I think sacrifice is a word that we heard a lot. If you want to achieve something, you need to sacrifice and you need to work hard."
He encourages the youth, "I don't believe on impossible things. You just go ahead, find your purpose in life, and go straight to get it."
At the exchange meeting, young lawyers working in the legal industry express their insights on the current situation of global development. Moreover, some young people from colleges and universities pay attention to issues related to technology in sustainable development. They express their views on human life and modern technologies such as AI. The enthusiastic speeches of young people and the wonderful ideas of Mr. Daniel del Valle Blanco win bursts of applause.
