From 21 to 23 May 2019, the 2019 UCLG ASPAC Executive Bureau Meeting & the Dialogue on International  Economic and Trade Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative were held in Yiwu with more than 350 Chinese and foreign guests present. As one of the host for the event, the UCLG ASPAC Committee on the Belt and Road Local Cooperation (BRLC) organized relevant authorities and enterprises in Hangzhou to participate in the meeting and make active efforts in promotion through this international meeting so as to introduce “Hangzhou Experience” and showcase the city's images. It also invited Shi Huangkai, Deputy Director of Management Office of China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area, to share the practice of China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area at the Sub-forum “Local Governments Boost SMEs'Globalized Development”. During the meeting, the BRLC successfully held its annual thematic meeting in 2019, at which the BRLC Secretariat delivered an annual work report and Alibaba Business School introduced its second international e-commerce training workshop.
